The combination of simple white nail polish and metallic gold/silver flash tattoos make me so, so excited for Summer!!

I tested both out this weekend and love both individually but together? Obsessed.

Firstly, the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail polish in Cotton. It is a simple white but makes a statement and is perfect for Ibiza holidays!

Like the entire Gelly collection, which I love, the quality is pretty darn good for the price but application is a little tricky. I think it is the same with all light nail colours, you need to layer it rather than slap it on in one coat. Which I did by the way and it didn’t turn out too well.

On the fingernails where I applied it with thin layers and built it up for a full coverage, the result is perfect. I did stupidly throw it on my thumb nails in only two very thick coats, hence the final appearance includes air bubbles and numerous cracks.

You get what I am saying – treat white nail polish delicately 🙂

After Beyonce and Rihanna were seen adorned with metallic tattoos last Summer, they seem to be everywhere for SS15. I bought a packet for £1.99 on eBay – you’ll find a huge selection on there from pretty floral designs to arrows and patterns.

Again, I was pretty haphazard in the application and they didn’t last a day. When sticking the tattoo design directly on the skin, wet it and press down (I didn’t press hard enough) for 30 seconds. Check to see it has transferred before pulling back the paper.

They look super cute on the hand and wrist. I added a few bracelet style gold and silver tattoos around my watch but put my watch back on within seconds which smudged them a little.

Again, learn from my mistakes. Let them dry 🙂

I’m buying some more for Summer and probably another bottle or two of white nail polish- what a creature of habit I am.
