I’ve recently found an album of holiday photos, including these from Shanti Home in New Delhi, India.

Shanti Home is a budget boutique hotel, modern and comfortable with simply furnished but clean rooms. The roof terrace restaurant is what makes this hotel so wonderful for me – it has that bohemian vibe I loved about India and the butter chicken was amazing!

The ‘spa’ or massages were okay, nothing special, and the reception staff were a little overzealous. Saying that, we stayed at this hotel in 2015 and even to this day they still send me a ‘happy birthday’ email – the customer service is clearly very important to Shanti Home!

I’d definitely stay there again but only for 1 or 2 nights – it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a quiet, small and affordable hotel in New Delhi as a stopover.

In comparison, we also stayed at The Claridges in New Delhi which offers a little more luxury but still in the affordable range – I recommend it for longer stays.
