I have been flirting with the idea to go balayage. By which I mean the French freehand colouring technique where hair is applied in sweeping motions for a natural effect.
I know what I want; caramel and honey balayage with brunette roots in the style of the gorgeous Victoria Secret’s model Lily Aldridge. This colour style works well with long hair and layers and really adds body and warmth to the hair.
While this style looks effortlessly glam dressed down, I have yet seen an updo balayage hairstyle. I don’t wear my hair coiffed in a bun or anything of the sort but I do throw it up in a ‘messy-just-got-out-of-bed’ way. A lot. And I don’t particularly want brunette roots with a caramel bun.
Balayage is like a grown up more elegant version of ombre. More subtle. So pretty.
Dark chocolate brunette hair with honey blonde and caramel balayage; my hair goal.
