I mentioned balayage in a previous blog post, flirted with the idea for a day or two and booked it in with Gemma at Fratelli’s in Cambridge.
I have a lot of hair and my box dye one-dimensional colour was flat and boring. My roots were lifted with a warm brown and I had ‘chocolate blonde’ balayage. The balayage added warmth, depth and body. It is probably more ombre than balayage than I wanted but it’s nice to have a change.
The photo shows it with an orange tint but it’s much more of a cooler blonde! In fact, the colour is completely different to this photo so I’ll take one in natural daylight.
I highly recommend Fratelli Hair, run by Luigi and Joey. It’s a modern, fairly new salon situated at the end of Mill Road in Cambridge – with plenty of parking in the side streets. While it’s a stylish salon with high-quality stylists, there’s nothing pretentious about it. The interiors are cool and modern and the twinkling ceiling lights are lovely and relaxing during the hair wash!
All the stylists are great but back in June I had a much needed hair cut with Luigi and absolutely loved it. He kept the length and somehow made it healthy at the same time. I am quite particular when it comes to the colour and length of my hair but he cut it perfectly.
Then in September we held a party to celebrate our wedding and Gary created a stunning half-up bouffant for me that lasted all night long. He’s patient, creative and listens to your requirements. Definitely talk to him about hairstyles for weddings, proms or parties in Cambridge.
