Established in 1997, Toast found its roots as a small pyjama business, growing into a clothing and homeware empire.
I picture the beautiful Notting Hill and Primrose Hill set in their idyllic, white stucco-fronted houses, relaxing in Toast silk dressing gowns on a lazy Sunday afternoon. That’s an idea on the customer-base anyway.
The designs are quite simple and unpretentious; it is all about quality pieces designed for modern day living.
While a lot of the items are a little too grown up for my personal taste, I love the cosy cashmere loungewear. The knitted jumper dresses too.
I fully appreciate the quality of Toast; there is no fast fashion flimsy fabrics and unflattering fits, it’s more investment styling.
