I love the ombre look. It’s cool, chic and perfect for brunettes to play around with colour in Summer! Think SJP, Lauren Conrad, Khloe Kardashian Alexa Chung, Drew Barrymore – you get the picture.
Ombre hair is a contrast of colour with the deepest and darkest shade at the roots, graduating to a lighter shade at the ends. I guess it sort of looks as if a blondie has grown her roots out.
A few years ago I had my brunette hair dip dyed blonde and then later on, a few more blonde streaks added in for good measure. At the time I just called this ‘dark hair with blonde at the bottom’ rather than the actual ‘ombre’ title.
It’s definitely a look I will try out again but maybe with a few different blonde colours so that it blends well with my dark hair!
