Minimalist Style: Zara Off-white Culottes + Louboutin Heels

I love clean lines and the simplicity of black and white, combined with easy-to-wear and super comfy culottes.

I wore this outfit to a Christening at the weekend – comfy casual chic I like to call it. The Cropped Trousers from Zara (culottes to you and me) are effortlessly chic, I am obsessed with them.

I also wore my Louboutin’s which shamefully, I have only worn twice. I actually keep them tucked away in a box to ensure they stay squeaky clean. I promise you husband (he kindly bought me them last year) that I’ll wear them again very soon. Surprisingly, the Mary Jane style is quite comfortable to wear which I think is partly due to the platform and partly as there is the ever so practical thingy that sits across the front of your foot. I am so good at this terminology. What I mean is, they are cute but wearable. I’ll try wear these more, if I ever leave my green tea/face pack weekend routine and venture out again.

You kind of need to stand in your bedroom on soft carpet to keep the red glowing red forever. This is the downfall, all that money on one pair of shoes that, let’s face it, we are buying into for the red soles and they don’t stay red for too long. I think there is something I can do to protect the red soles….I’ll investigate.

It is an obscene amount of money on one pair of shoes which I was gifted for our 10 year anniversary. For this, I happily accepted them but I’m not sure I could ever spend that much unless it was for a really super special occasion.

I’ll let you in on a little secret, I have often put these on just to prance around my bedroom in them. You know, a little pose here, a pout there, then back in the box they go.

I genuinely feel like a lucky princess wearing them. I got called horrible names for my ‘boy shoes’  when I was 8 years old at school by smelly boys who actually tried to flirt with me 15 years later, a big f**k you to those nasty humans, I now have princess shoes :)
